Pixel Pixies Summer Workshop 2020 admin, August 24, 2020August 24, 2020 Pixel Pixies is a free, annual summer workshop that aims to introduce kids (especially girls) to programming. It is purely voluntary, and run “by kids for kids.” Its on-going mission: to teach kids how to code inventions that could change the world! This year, the workshop was done on a purely virtual platform. It kicked off via Google Meet in May 2020 to introduce the basics of Google Classroom, Scratch and Python in preparation for Code Club Australia’s Moonhack 2020 projects. By the end of two weeks, 21 projects were completed by 18 participants (12 girls, 6 boys). In addition, 10 of the participants moved on to the Introduction to Game Development [using Scratch] lessons. Interested in learning how to code? Feel free to drop me a message and hope to see you next summer! 🙂 Uncategorized codinggame developmentmoonhackmoonhack2020pixel pixiesprogrammingscratch
